Ending The Hibernation, Stepping Out in Max Mara

Love this light, effortless mesh midi skirt worn with a proper knit and long boot. So comfortable with elasticated waistband and oversized jumper. Teamed with the WKDGalosce Double-Faced Wool-Blend Coat, it seems the double face coat is the thing this season, it adds a lightness to the silhouette.

It is all about pattern here, clashing the jacquard prints of the pleated skirt and knit. Struggling to get the jumper imagery online but trust me it is good. Teamed with boots from new footwear favourite Pavement, these have more than a nod to the designer riding boots that we are seeing everywhere.

Weekend Max Mara always have a silk two-piece set, it is a 'thing' for the brand and this one I couldn't resist. It is 100% silk and works really well as an 'outfit' but equally both pieces are hard working separates dressed up for an evening look or stomping around all day with a great boot. The Nanette from Grenson is my personal favourite, I took my 7 year old pair to Paris last week and walked for miles.

The colour really is milky, the look double denim with a crisp new sneaker from the legendary Diadora (personally rather excited to add this brand this season, more to come). I love a cream jean, especially at this time of year - you can add a dark jumper and still feel Springlike, oh and this sweat has hidden side pockets, cool.

Dream combination of pieces from Weekend and S Max Mara. Seems we all need a Max Mara raincoat and this one is rather good - just the right length, add a scarf, a pair of jeans and a boot. Timeless. Cool.
