The Trend Report - This Season We Herald a 'Skirtnaissance'
I have unashamedly taken inspiration from The Times fashion writer with this mouthful of a word, but what joy to talk all things skirts and a ‘skirtnaissance’.
It seems that after a lifetime of dresses we have a new silhouette to embrace, hurrah for the skirt. and (another favourite word) lets make it ‘swishy’. The catwalks, the magazines, the search engines are all reporting demand for skirts. So easy to wear now with a knit and later with a t-shirt.
Contrary to some comments, skirts do not need to ‘cut you in half’, a well placed ‘half tuck’, the right skirt and length of top all need to be played with and a sleek silhouette achieved.
