Last week we headed to one of our favourite parts of Southwold, the Blackshore, to showcase the power of a plain dress.
The Power of a Plain Dress Hero Image
I think these may be some of my all time favourite photographs, this one has more than a hint of Yellowstone about it, and I can only thank my willing team to taking part and wearing the clothes so well.
Maison Hotel, the ultimate for beautiful boho
This brand has been a firm favourite for several years now. The fit is small so do size up, the pieces work well together so don't be afraid to layer up and experiment for the full boho vibe.
A pretty perfect linen dress from Mei Meij
It is so easy to power up a plain linen dress, just add some statement gold jewels. These 'bead maxi studs' from Scandi brand Edblad feel bang on trend (whilst reminding me of the 80s) and work brilliantly with a bracelet stack.
Mondo Corsini is just quietly elegant
Sometimes the dress just does the talking, no accessories, no 'this goes with' needed, the dress does it all. The balloon sleeves, the waist tie at the correct level and the deep hem make this dress pretty near perfect.
A Very Useful Dress from Emin + Paul
Emin + Paul is a new brand for us, Korean designers that really know how to 'cut' fabric. The bow on this dress can be twisted, tied in a bow (at the back or front) and even wrapped around the shoulders ... and it has pockets.
